Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Say (O Muhammad SAW): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Quran). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Quran)! 1 'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord. 2 And He - exalted be the majesty of our Lord! hath taken neither a spouse nor a son. 3 And [now we know] that the foolish among us have been saying outrageous things about God. 4 and we had thought that men and jinn would never speak against God a lie. 5 And that persons from among men used to seek refuge with persons from among jinn, so they increased them in wrongdoing: 6 so much so that they came to think, as you [once] thought, that God would never [again] send forth anyone [as His apostle]. 7 'And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 And so we know not whether evil is intended for those in the earth, or whether their Lord intends for them rectitude. 10 As for us, some of us are righteous and others are not. We have all followed different ways. 11 And we know that we cannot escape from Allah in the earth, nor can we escape by flight. 12 When we heard the Guidance, we believed in it, and whosoever believes in his Lord shall fear neither shortage nor injustice. 13 Some of us have surrendered (Muslims) and some of us have deviated. Those who surrendered sought the Right Path, 14 And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell, 15 [KNOW,] THEN, that if they [who have heard Our call] keep firmly to the [right] path, We shall certainly shower them with blessings abundant, 16 that We might try them therein. And whosoever turns away from the Remembrance of his Lord, He will thrust him into chastisement rigorous. 17 And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. 18 Yet [thus it is] that whenever a servant of God stands up in prayer to Him, they [who are bent on denying the truth] would gladly overwhelm him with their crowds. 19
