28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Say, (O Prophet), it was revealed to me that a band of jinn attentively listened to (the recitation of the Qur'an) and then (went back to their people) and said: “We have indeed heard a wonderful Qur'an" 1 ‘That guides to the path of goodness, we have therefore accepted faith in it; and we shall never ascribe anyone as a partner to our Lord.’ 2 And He - exalted be the majesty of our Lord! hath taken neither a spouse nor a son. 3 'There were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against Allah; 4 and that “we had thought that men and jinn would never speak a lie about Allah”, 5 Some men used to seek refuge with the jinn in the past, but that only increased their insolence. 6 Like you, they thought that Allah would never raise the dead. 7 (The jinn continued saying): "We made our way towards heaven, but we found it filled with stern guards and a flame. 8 We used to sit near by and try to listen to the heavens, but shooting flames now await those who try to do that. 9 And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course. 10 Some of us are righteous, while others are not; we follow divergent paths. 11 "'And withal, we have come to know that we can never elude God [while we live] on earth, and that we can never elude Him by escaping [from life]. 12 'And indeed when we heard the Guidance (this Quran), we believed therein (Islamic Monotheism), and whosoever believes in his Lord shall have no fear, either of a decrease in the reward of his good deeds or an increase in punishment for his sins. 13 "'Yet [it is true] that among us are such as have surrendered themselves to God - just as there are among us such as have abandoned themselves to wrongdoing. Now as for those who surrender themselves to Him - it is they that have attained to consciousness of what is right; 14 'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- 15 If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance 16 That We might try them there by. And whosoever turneth aside from the remembrance of his Lord, him He shall thrust into a torment vehement. 17 All places of worship are for God; so do not invoke any one with God. 18 When the devotee of God stood up to invoke Him (the jinns) crowded upon him (to listen). 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
