In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
O you who are wrapped up in your mantle, 1 Keep awake [in prayer] at night, all but a small part 2 half the night, or a little less 3 and recite the Quran in a distinct tone; 4 Indeed, We will cast upon you a heavy word. 5 surely the first part of the night is heavier in tread, more upright in speech, 6 You have by day prolonged occupations [with Dawah work]. 7 Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Lord of the eastern and western regions, with due sincerity. 8 (He Alone is) the Lord of the east and the west, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). So take Him Alone as Wakil (Disposer of your affairs). 9 And have patience with what they say, and leave them with noble (dignity). 10 Leave Me to deal with the deniers, lords of ease and comfort (in this life); and do thou respite them awhile. 11 With Us are Fetters (to bind them), and a Fire (to burn them), 12 And food which choketh (the partaker), and a painful doom 13 One Day the earth and the mountains will be in violent commotion. And the mountains will be as a heap of sand poured out and flowing down. 14 We have sent to you, (O men!) a messenger, to be a witness concerning you, even as We sent a messenger to Pharaoh. 15 and Pharaoh rebelled against the apostle, whereupon We took him to task with a crushing grip. 16 Then how can you fear, if you disbelieve, a Day that will make the children white- haired? 17 Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished. 18 Verily this is an admonition; let him therefore, who will, choose a way unto his Lord. 19
