Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
O thou wrapped up in thy raiment! 1 Stand up for worship during the night, except for some part of it. 2 of one-half thereof - or make it a little less than that, 3 or add a little), and chant the Koran very distinctly; 4 We are about to reveal to you a mighty word. 5 Indeed getting up in the night is tougher, and the words flow with strength. 6 You have by day prolonged occupations [with Dawah work]. 7 And remember thou the name of thy Lord, and devote thyself to Him with an exclusive devotion. 8 [He is] the Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him, so take Him as Disposer of [your] affairs. 9 And bear thou with patience whatsoever they say, and depart from them with a becoming departure. 10 And leave Me (alone to deal with) those in possession of the good things of life, who (yet) deny the Truth; and bear with them for a little while. 11 Indeed, with Us [for them] are shackles and burning fire 12 food that chokes and painful punishment 13 (They will come across all this) on the Day when the earth and the mountains shall tremble violently and the mountains shall crumble into heaps of scattered sand. 14 We have sent you a Messenger, who will witness your deeds, just as We sent a Messenger to the Pharaoh. 15 But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We seized him with a ruinous seizure. 16 If you, disbelieve, how will you be able to protect yourselves from the hardships of the day which would even turn children grey-headed? 17 the Day whose severity shall cause the heaven to split asunder? Allah's promise is ever bound to be fulfilled. 18 This, verily, is a reminder: let him who wills, then set out on a way to his Sustainer! 19
