Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil)
20 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Pen (Al-Qalam) before The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O thou enwrapped! 1 Stand up in Prayer by night, all but a small part of it; 2 (a half of it, or diminish a little, 3 or add a little), and chant the Koran very distinctly; 4 Surely We will make to light upon you a weighty Word. 5 Verily the rising by night! it is most curbing and most conducive to right speech. 6 Surely you have in the day time a long occupation. 7 Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Lord of the eastern and western regions, with due sincerity. 8 Lord of the East and Lord of the West there is no God except Him, therefore make Him your sole Trustee of affairs. 9 And be patient (O Muhammad SAW) with what they say, and keep away from them in a good way. 10 And leave Me with [the matter of] the deniers, those of ease [in life], and allow them respite a little. 11 We have in store for them heavy fetters and a blazing Fire, 12 and food that chokes, and grievous suffering 13 on the Day when the earth and the mountains will be convulsed and the mountains will [crumble and] become like a sand-dune on the move! 14 Indeed, We have sent to you a Messenger as a witness over you, just as We sent a Messenger to Pharaoh. 15 But Pharaoh disobeyed Our Messenger, so We seized him with a terrible seizing. 16 How, then, if you refuse to acknowledge the truth, will you protect yourselves on that Day which shall turn the hair of children grey, 17 The heaven will break apart therefrom; ever is His promise fulfilled. 18 Surely this is a Reminder; so let him who will take unto his Lord a way. 19

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
