The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
O you enveloped in your cloak! 1 arise, and warn! 2 Thy Lord magnify, 3 And thine inner self purify! 4 And all defilement shun! 5 Do not bestow favours in expectation of return, 6 Exercise patience to please your Lord. 7 When the Horn is blown, 8 It will be a day of distress, 9 not an easy day for the unbelievers. 10 Leave Me alone, (to deal) with the (creature) whom I created (bare and) alone!- 11 And for whom I appointed wealth extended. 12 and sons standing before him, 13 And for whom I smoothed everything. 14 and who still greedily desires that I should bestow upon him more. 15 By no means! Verily he hath been unto Our signs a foe. 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Verily he considered, and devised. 18 May he be accursed, how he planned! 19 Again, death seized him, how was his determining! 20 Then he looked around, 21 Then he frowned and he scowled; 22 Then he turned back and was proud; 23 And said, "This is not but magic imitated [from others]. 24 Nothing more than the speech of a man!" 25 I will cast him into the fire of Hell. 26 And what do you know what Hell is? 27 It neither spares, nor releases, 28 It shrivelleth the man. 29 Over it are nineteen [powers]. 30 And We have appointed none but the angels to be wardens of the Fire. And their number we have made only a trial for those who disbelieve, so that those who are vouchsafed the Book may be convinced, and that those who believe may increase in faith, and that those who are vouchsafed the Book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the infidels may say: what meaneth Allah by this description! In this wise Allah sendeth astray whomsoever He will, and guideth whomsoever He will. And none knoweth the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but an admonition unto man. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
