The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
O you who covers himself [with a garment], 1 arise, and warn! 2 and magnify the glory of your Lord, 3 And your garments do purify, 4 And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)! 5 Do not give, thinking to gain greater 6 But, for thy Lord's (Cause), be patient and constant! 7 When the Trumpet is sounded, 8 it will be a hard day 9 for the unbelievers not easy. 10 Leave Me alone, (to deal) with the (creature) whom I created (bare and) alone!- 11 and to whom I have granted resources vast, 12 And sons dwelling in his presence, 13 And I adjusted affairs for him adjustably; 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 Not at all! Surely, he has been disobedient to Our verses. 16 and I shall constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Lo! He reflected, and determined -- 18 and thus he destroys himself, the way he meditates: 19 And once more let him be cursed, how he plotted! 20 He looked (at others); 21 frowned and scowled; 22 Then turned he away in pride 23 Then he said: This is naught but enchantment, narrated (from others); 24 “This is nothing but the speech of a man.” 25 I will soon fling him into hell. 26 And what can make you know what is Saqar? 27 It spares not, neither leaves alone 28 it scorches the skin; 29 over it are nineteen. 30 And We have appointed none but the angels to be wardens of the Fire. And their number we have made only a trial for those who disbelieve, so that those who are vouchsafed the Book may be convinced, and that those who believe may increase in faith, and that those who are vouchsafed the Book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the infidels may say: what meaneth Allah by this description! In this wise Allah sendeth astray whomsoever He will, and guideth whomsoever He will. And none knoweth the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but an admonition unto man. 31

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
