The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and warn! 2 And thy Lord do thou magnify! 3 And your garments do purify, 4 And pollution shun. 5 do not bestow a favour in the expectation of receiving more in return; 6 and be patient unto thy Lord. 7 When the Trumpet is sounded, 8 that will surely be a hard day, 9 not of ease, for all who [now] deny the truth! 10 Leave to Me the one, whom I have created all by Myself, 11 and whom I have granted abundant wealth 12 and sons standing before him, 13 and for whom I have smoothed the way (to power and riches), 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 By no means! surely he offers opposition to Our communications. 16 [and so] I shall constrain him to endure a painful uphill climb! 17 Verily, he thought and plotted; 18 Ruin seize him, how did he hatch a scheme? 19 Again, ruin seize him, how did he hatch a scheme? 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then he frowned and he scowled; 22 and in the end he turns his back [on Our message,] and glories in his arrogance, 23 He said, 'This is naught but a trumped-up sorcery; 24 Naught is this but the word of Man. 25 [Hence,] I shall cause him to endure hell-fire [in the life to come]! 26 and what will teach thee what is Sakar? 27 It leaveth naught; it spareth naught 28 It shrivelleth the man. 29 over it are nineteen. 30 We have appointed none but angels as the keepers of the Fire, and We have not made their number but as a trial for the unbelievers so that those who have been endowed with the Book will be convinced and the believers' faith will increase, and neither those who have been endowed with the Book nor the believers will fall into any doubt. As for those in whose hearts there is a sickness as well as the unbelievers, they will say: “What did Allah aim at by this strange parable?” Thus does Allah let whomsoever He pleases to go astray, and directs whomsoever He pleases to the Right Way. And none knows the hosts of your Lord but He. (And Hell has only been mentioned here) that people may take heed. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
