The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and warn, 2 And your Lord (Allah) magnify! 3 purify your garments; 4 And uncleanness do shun, 5 Do not bestow favours in expectation of return, 6 and for the sake of your Lord, be patient. 7 When the trumpet is sounded,. 8 that very Day shall be a day of anguish, 9 Not easy upon the disbelievers. 10 Leave Me and him whom I created alone, 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 and sons standing before him, 13 And for whom I smoothed everything. 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 and I shall constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 He planned and plotted. 18 May he be condemned! 19 Again, ruin seize him, how did he hatch a scheme? 20 Then looked he, 21 Then he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way; 22 then he retreated, and waxed proud. 23 said, "This (the Quran) is nothing but magic, inherited from ancient magicians. 24 This is not but the word of a human being." 25 Him shall I soon roast in Hell. 26 And what will make you know exactly what Hell-fire is? 27 It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)! 28 making [all truth] visible to mortal man. 29 Over it are nineteen keepers. 30 We have appointed only angels to be masters of the Fire, and their number We have appointed only as a trial for the unbelievers, that those who were given the Book may have certainty, and that those who believe may increase in belief, and that those who were given the Book and those who believe may not be in-doubt, and that those in whose hearts there is sickness, and the unbelievers, may say, 'What did God intend by this as a similitude?' So God leads astray whomsoever He will, and He guides whomsoever He will; and none knows the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but a Reminder to mortals. 31
