The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
O you (Muhammad SAW) enveloped (in garments)! 1 Arise and warn! 2 and exalt your Lord, 3 Thy raiment purify, 4 shun uncleanness; 5 and do not think that by doing such deeds, you have done a great favor to God. 6 and for the sake of your Lord, be patient. 7 And when the trumpet is blown, 8 that very Day shall be a day of anguish, 9 For the infidels, not easy. 10 Leave to Me the one, whom I have created all by Myself, 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 And children to be by his side! 13 And made several preparations for him. 14 and who still greedily desires that I should bestow upon him more. 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! 17 For he thought and he plotted -- 18 But may he be cursed how he plotted; 19 May be then be accursed, how he plotted! 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then he frowned and he looked in a bad tempered way; 22 then he retreated and waxed proud, 23 Then he said: This is naught but enchantment, narrated (from others); 24 this is nothing but the word of a mere mortal!” 25 Him shall I fling unto the burning. 26 Would that you really knew what hell is! 27 It does not allow to live, and neither leaves [to die,] 28 it scorches the skin; 29 Above it are nineteen guards. 30 We have not appointed any one but angels as keepers of Hell, and their number that We have fixed is to make it a means of contention for disbelievers, so that those who were given the Book may be certain, and the faith of the believers may have greater increase, and the people of the Book and believers may not be deceived, and the sceptics and infidels may say: "What does God mean by this parable?" That is how God leads whosoever He will astray, and guides whosoever He will. None knows the armies of your Lord save Him self. This is no more than reminder for mankind. 31
