The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn, 2 Glorify your Lord, 3 And thine inner self purify! 4 And uncleanliness avoid 5 and do not think that by doing such deeds, you have done a great favor to God. 6 And for the sake of your Lord, patiently endure. 7 When the trumpet is sounded,. 8 That shall be - that Day - a day hard. 9 Not easy upon the disbelievers. 10 Leave him to Me whom I created alone, 11 And gave him vast wealth. 12 And sons to be by his side!- 13 I made things smooth and easy for him, 14 and who still desires more. 15 By no means; he is stubbornly opposed to Our Signs. 16 Soon I shall mount him on Saood, the hill of fire. 17 He reflected and then hatched a scheme. 18 May he be accursed, how he planned! 19 Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 20 Then looked he, 21 And frowned and puckered his brow, 22 Then he turned back and was big with pride, 23 And said, “This is nothing but magic learnt from earlier men.” 24 This is naught else than speech of mortal man. 25 Him shall I fling unto the burning. 26 And what can make you know what is Saqar? 27 It leaves naught nor does it spare aught. 28 It glows and burns the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell). 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
