The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise, and warn, 2 proclaim the greatness of your Lord, 3 thy robes purify 4 And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)! 5 And do not confer favor to acquire more 6 For the sake of thy Lord, be patient! 7 For when the trumpet blows 8 that Day will be a hard and distressing Day. 9 Far from easy for those without Faith. 10 Leave him to Me whom I created alone, 11 And then bestowed upon him ample means, 12 And sons dwelling in his presence, 13 I made things smooth and easy for him, 14 Yet he wants that I should give him more. 15 By no means! He has been stubbornly hostile to Our revelation: 16 and I shall constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Surely he reflected and guessed, 18 and woe to him; how he plotted! 19 And again perish he! How maliciously he devised! 20 Then he looked, 21 frowned and scowled, 22 then he retreated and grew proud 23 Then he said: This is naught but enchantment, narrated (from others); 24 "This is nothing but the word of a human being!" 25 Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire! 26 Would that you really knew what hell is! 27 It spares nothing; it leaves nothing intact; 28 Scorching the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell). 30 And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. 31
