Nay, by the Moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning unto humankind 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those of the right hand 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
