By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning unto humankind 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 about the sinners. 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 as if they were startled asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
