Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 As a warning unto men, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the sinners. 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
Almighty Allah's Truth.
