I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 A warning to mankind, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
