▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 About the guilty: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
