Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning for people -- 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
