▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, by the Moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. The disbelievers will not have any intercessor. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
