Nay, by the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 As a warning unto men, 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 running away from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir). Sent down in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
