I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Till death overtook us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
