Nay, by the Moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 As a warning unto men, 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who will be in Paradise 40 about the guilty ones: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
