No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning for people -- 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 From the guilty. 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
