Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
By the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
