Nay! By the moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until death approached us". 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
