Nay, by the Moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 A warning for people -- 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
