No! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
