Nay! By the moon 32 and the night when it retreats 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Click or tap the small triangles above and below the frame on the right to display the Surah Table of Contents, where you can go to any Surah or any page within.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
