Nay, and by the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 As a warning unto men, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 About the guilty: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
