By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 Warn the men. 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
