Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 Warn the men. 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 Till death overtook us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 running away from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
