By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 A warning for people -- 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 about the sinners. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 we fed not the needy, 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
