No! By the moon 32 by the retreating night, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 Warn the men. 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
