▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning unto humankind 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 From the guilty. 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
