I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 About the guilty: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until death approached us". 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
