Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 About the criminals, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
