No, by the moon! 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
