Nay, by the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 From the guilty. 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
