I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning for people -- 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About the guilty: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
