NAY, but consider the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning to mankind, 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
