No! By the moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 we fed not the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
