NAY, but consider the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 as a warner to mortals. 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
