No! By the moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
