Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until death approached us". 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
