Nay, and by the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning unto humankind 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who will be in Paradise 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
