Nay, and by the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humans, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
