Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to humans, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
