No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 about the guilty ones: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
