I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens; they shall be asking, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
