Nay! By the moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 As a warning unto men, 36 Whoever of you desires to progress or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About the guilty: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
